F.A.A. Aeronautical Requirements:

Obtain a Third Class Medical Certificate

  • Pass the FAA knowledge test
  • Log 50 hrs xcountry, 10 of which are in an instrumenr airplane.
  • A total of 40 hrs of actual or simulated, to include
  • 15 hrs from an Instrument flight Instructor
  • 3 hrs pre flight for practical test.
  • At least one xcountry of 100 nautical miles along an ATC route
  • To include, An Instrument approach at each airport.
  • Three different approaches.
